on average, 2-4 times a week. used to be chronic, but now I just like to settle down with a doob every once in a while, at the end of the day. Night time smoking only, never in the day.

I want this to become an epic thread. Bring in legalization, Obama, medical, and any other thing you can think of. Christianity and racism is getting old.

No, since I'm perpetually applying for jobs/going on interviews. 95% of them require drug testing before hiring.

used to smoke every single day for about 5/6 years...now only on rare occasion, when I'm chillin' with the right people.

Haven't for 6 months or so, but I just bought half an ounce for some reason. Trying to write new stuff for a new band I'm in. We'll see.

Not really my drug of choice; was more of a necessary means to an end than anything else.

And I got soooo much smarter after I stopped smoking regularly, not to mention what it did to my interest in the fairer sex. A lot more creative without weed as well.

Former "fucking chronic." Currently once every other year to remind myself why I quit. I voted "not for me."

Can't stand the coughing, and never liked the smell.

I'm an alkie at heart. Or is that in the stomach?

Never took for me, but I'll still do it on occasion.

I've really grown to hate the cannabis life-stylist. I live next door to a couple of dedicated users and I'll also back up the intelligence comment. They're incredibly hard to deal with on any meaningful level, although I don't think it makes everyone dumb at some absolute level. It's particularly harmful if they're starting a few standard deviations below the mean from the get go; I swear I could light one of them on fire and they'd just sit and stare. That this drug ostensibly lowers sperm levels is a another firm piece of evidence for evolution.

For the over twenty-fives, smoking weed is a rejection of adult life, much akin to walking around with a teddy bear or comfort blanket.

Agree with all of this. I am definitely in the "may as well legalize it for the tax benefits" group though.

Basically, once I could drink legally, it lost a lot of it's allure.

I was 29 last time I smoked so I guess I rejected for another four years.

Options for voting weren't exactly the best for me. I chose option three "social occasion dictates...". Even though it's been since I was 22 since I smoked (29 now). I wouldn't mind doing it every now and again though. I just don't really know anyone that smokes anymore.

For most of my life it was just when the social situation dictates. But my girlfriend has been having a lot of eye problems lately so we bought some. She's never really smoked previously to this, once or twice tops. But now I've been smoking about once a week, and her almost every night.

Her eyes have felt a lot better.

I could talk about this topic endlessly, but I won't. Started smoking weed at 13, smoked regularly until 19. While I was 18 and 19, I smoked every single day, several times a day. Basically, I was stoned all the time.

Although I was extremely used to smoking pot, it randomly started giving me panic attacks every time I smoked at age 19 (if you look up medical research, there is a strong link between panic disorder and marijuana usage). Since I was so accustomed to smoking it, I kept trying for a while thinking it would pass, and when it didn't I stopped cold.

Since then, all of my friends (most of whom still smoke every day) have become a lot less cool. I enjoy hanging out and drinking, but as soon as they start smoking it's like I'm not even hanging out with anyone anymore. I don't have a problem with it theoretically, but it makes people so goddamn boring that I don't want to be around it. It's hard to see until you stop smoking, too. I try to tell my girlfriend that it really dilutes her personality, but she denies it everytime, as I'm sure I would if I was still smoking.

Smoked pretty much every day as a teenager, but rarely smoke anymore. If someone passes a joint I may or may not take a puff. Can't remember the last time I bought a bag and more than once have told people to keep it when they've wanted to just toss some my way. Shit today is too strong anyway, no fun for me to take one hit and be blasted. I used to like to enjoy a good sized joint.

May as well be legal. Good tax revenue and booze is already way more harmful and dangerous anyhow. I always kinda figured booze is legal and not weed because we use booze in religious ceremonies, so we can't fathom rejecting it as evil. If we inhaled some smoke instead of taking a drink at church, I figure weed would be legal and booze demonized.

And I do tend to agree with it making people boring. One of the biggest reasons I stopped smoking for the most part is I like to actually interact with my friends when I'm out, not just sit there staring like a lump.

Never been a huge fan, but it does make me very horny, followed by immediately making me very sleepy. It's rare that I smoke these days and when I do it's because I'm having problems sleeping or just need to decompress when alcohol is not an option.

I've never tried it and never felt the need to.

So many useless people around here smoke ungodly amounts it put me off before I ever started. Alcoholism is rampant here, too, so much to the point it's almost putting me off drinking. Almost.
