to be honest, im glad they won it over franz ferdinand. i think both are great, but i think tvotr is more distinctive and original.

i like the franz album better, but i agree on the merits of their originality. definite plus that that album stands out amongst all the others i have (and that's a lot).

Tvotr are boring! Except the sqkwonky saxophone bits. You can't top a bit of sqkwonky saxophone. But that apart, all the songs sound the same and are utterly dull. Unique or not.

that album is definitely a grower. i felt the same way as darrin at first, but then like a newborn kitten my eyes opened.
