I only know her from the Mr. Plow episode, sadly. Recommend one record.

Man, that sucks. Only one I own is Heart Like A Wheel, so I can't offer a very nuanced recommendation, but I get the feeling that's likely the one you get if you only plan on one.

DAMN. My mom wore OUT that Blue Bayou tape when I was a kid. And she's the one behind Paul Simon on "Under African Skies" on Graceland, which is maybe the most hauntingly beautiful female vocal of all time for me.

That's a great vocal take. I also dug the stone poneys, i used to have that album that had different drum by mike nesmith on it. That's a great vocal take in a totally different way. Gifted singer. Her version of Desperado makes the song feel like it actually means something, might just be that hearing it sung from a female perspective lends it weight. I also really dig that song you're no good.

We definitely had that Blue Bayou album and the Get Closer album. I remember that collaborative album trio getting a decent amount of press, never heard it though. She'll always have my respect, good pipes, some good songs.
