And in addition to what Dave said about the different kinds of Steroids Chasey, I am basing my (alleged) accusations on what I have read/heard/seen from former players (the few, like David Justice who have the balls to speak out) and writers/beat reporteers who are around these players everyday.

As for being a monkey, not only is that a racial slur against me, but if I were you I would start (like yo partnah MJ say) with the man in the mirror. Shawty.

Trace the injuries and the kinds of injuries. And why not? Look, once you get over the fact that there are NO sacred cows in sports the easier it becomes to accept these things.

I mean shit, I just threw pitchers from the team that I honestly live and die for under the bus.

It is what it is.

Can I get a 'hell, yeah' for my main-man and favorite player, Derrek Lee, as one of the un'roided?

Just check the home-run totals. Never more than 32. But, had he been juicing, he would have hit 80, at least.

The man is a giant; not Richie Sexson big, but close, and a bit more time in the weight-room (not quite the bean-pole that the Big Sexy is)... Regardless, you account for Diamond Derrek's 'fro, and he probably has four three inches on Richie anyway.

I knew that it was just that you are daft, holmes. First, we are what they call in English "quick witted" and "Original" sory I don't parrot anyone's line. Second, i can see that you are a bit confused about what we are like, and have a little trouble keeping up with things. Ever see pics posted of me? I go button-ups and blazers most days. So, nice try, jocko, but go back to your sad world where the mail never stops coming. And quit reading my magazines.

Shiv, I like talking shit as much as the next guy, but can we un-hijack this and get back to what the thread's about?

Apparently Mo (FAAAAAAAAAT) Vaughn threw yr. boy Nomar under the bus as well.

what injuries did ichiro have? i remember him being out a few years ago for a wrist injury. which injuries are the ones that indicate steroid use? it seems to me that, if you're going to accept the word of david justice, whose comments i haven't seen, you also have to take smoltz's word when he said that these were actions of the few that were maligning the many. while i still think that there's more evidence that these guys are cheating than not, you've gotta think that justice and smoltz are both infinitely more credible than canseco, right?

FAAAAAAT!! Yeah, Nomar is one of my fave players, actually. I guess the "yr. boy" thing is another in joke no one gets. When I know people may not like someone, I call them "yr. boy."

The thing that sucks is, EVERYONE is suspect at this point. I mean, Bagwell? Prolly. Biggio. Prolly not...BUT...

I was talking about Griffey with the injuries, not Ichiro (I've never heard anything about Ichiro, but **shrugs**)

The bottom line in this Chase, and feel free to disagree or expand, is that the Genie is now out of the bottle on the worst kept secret in sports. The fact that David Justice (my source is an ESPN radio interview with Dan Patrick) is the only ex-player (Canseco et. al aside) to throw this stuff out there ON THE RECORD is not surprising----there are more "off the record" reports than I can count, but many players are content to maintain the "what happens in the clubhouse, stays in the clubhouse" axiom that was rightly shattered when Ball Four came out. But there is fear. Fear from people like Mark McGwire (who by the way is a guy who saw the future and got out why the gettin was good)) who know that the devil is at the door indeed.

Where there is smoke there is fire---I don't have to believe buster-ass Jose Canseco to realize the scope and gravity of the steroid problem in Major League Baseball. It has been right in front of my face since 1987. And sure, some of the names that I have thrown out may not be guilty----but its funny that the longer and deeper this thing goes on, the more that shit that I sounded like a crackpot saying four years ago comes true.

I really don't think everyone is suspect though. Mark Bellhorn? Bill Mueller? Kevin Millar?

I mean, you wouldn't think Jeff Blauser and Javy Lopez are the Usual suspects, but look at Blasuer's career numebrs, and then his 1995 and 1996 numbers and: YOU MAKE THE CALL.
