Yeah, definitely a lot of similarities in mood, I've been listening to some of that stuff as well. Liked the first Toro Y Moi, but not so much the next one from what I've heard. Liked that Washed Out. This one stands out to me though for whatever reason. I guess for me it seems to meet in a halfway point between older mellow electronic stuff and the more modern chillwave stuff.
