Yeah, I know that I might be sniffing my own farts again (thanks, Rads!), but a friend just dropped their name, raving about them. I investigated over at AllMusic and THEY dropped comparisons to Television/Wire/Minutemen/Black Flag.
I think I need this but it is totally out of print and unavailable through traditional outlets that I have found.

I like it but then I like everything he does so maybe I'm the wrong person to ask. I've only listened to it a couple of times and passively at that while working so I'm not really capable of offering much more of an opinion than that. I don't think it's as good as his last album but I loved that one so it's not a knock on it at all.

Just to be clear, I'm not really ready to recommend it to anyone except the most hardcore Luke Haines fans. I don't know how much of his solo work you've heard but its generally not as good as the Autuers albums. Some of it is great, some of it is clearly only for die hard fans. I'm not quite sure where this one fits in yet. Musically, I like it alot but its a bit strange thematically. It's a concept record imagining 3 rock n roll artists (Gene Vincent, Jimmy Pursey, and Nick Lowe) as woodland animals. I'm still at a listening stage where the lyrics aren't sinking in at all and his voice is merely another instrument. I can't predict whether I'll like it more or a whole lot less as I listen more. I always find something to like in his music and songwriting but its entirely possible that this will be a novelty item that I won't feel like listening to very much.
