Michael York

I never know what to say to celebrities -- "nice jacket, man" or maybe, "Hey, you're passed the age of 30, weren't you supposed to be dead?"

wasn't he the older British guy in the Austin Powers movies? I know that doesn't narrow it down much... but can't remember the character's name, but his boss/arranger/handler.

edit: Basil Expedition was his name!

Basil Exposition. The joke is in the definition.

He was also in the Three Musketeer Movies that were out back in the 70's.

He played Dartagnan.

he would never go along with Larry's ideas about the restaurant - bells for the customers, military uniforms, applesauce as a side dish, etc.

Sorry, I was 8 years from being born when Cabaret was released.

Yeah, but you must've seen Logan's Run on cable at least once? Or The Island Of Dr. Moreau? The Four Musketeers? Lost Horizon? Romeo & Juliet?

He's been mostly in TV movies for a quarter of a century, but he was a fairly big star from '67-'80.

Yeah well I was born when it came out and it's in my top five favorite movies ever.

Then again I also love silent films.

Not-a-one. I have seen Austin Powers though. Brilliant role.

or heard The Sensational Alex Harvey Band's tremendous cover of "Tomorrow Belongs To Me"?????

Wasn't York also in some Zeppelin (the airship, not the band) movie? I'm too lazy to do an IMDB search.

Not sure if he's gone the whole Stephen Baldwin/Kirk Cameron/Buddy from Charles in Charge route, but I know he is in one of those "Left Behind" movies made by Jesus, Inc or whatever those people call themselves. I think he plays the main bad guy.

If that had been the case, I would've asked him to play the tambourine for me.

Yeah, I think it was called Omega Man They really spiced up that trailer promoted it hard.

But, I definitely remember him for Logan's Run. "Sanctuary!"
