I've been punched in the face by a professional boxer...and I didn't go down!* Absolutely true.

*I did flee the scene like a hysterical woman though.

I'm really shy as hell and happiest when I'm channeling my inner domestic diva.

i've been shot (in a cemetery).

i have said "fuck" on the radio a handful of times, but have never been fined or even cited.

a professional dominatrix has tested new knots and restraints on me.

i'm not sure what else people would never guess about me, but those are three things that always get surprised reactions.

No worries, Christmas is coming up. That's all you're getting, though.

My pops arrested Stevie Ray Vaughan for cocaine possesion in Austin. I also had a brick thrown through my bedroom window when I was five or six, after my dad wore a wire to bring down the Travis Country sherrif for racketeering (I think? maybe that was drugs too.)

I brought Bob Dylan a bucket of fried chicken while on a runner gig in Memphis this summer. He said, "Thanks for the CHICKun, maaaaaaaaan."

I also dropped a bunch of acid with a friend of mine and got lost off the Appalachian Trail for about three days. The interesting part: we never freaked out. Actually pretty damn fun, except that a bear bag is frockin' impossible to hang in that condition.

That;s how I feel.

I bet not much would surprise people about me.

When I was about 10 my brother Mike and I rescued a friend who fell through the ice on a river behind my house. He went under the ice for about 15 feet. I smashed another hole further down and we pulled him out. He moved away probably two years later.

20 years later his extremely hot wife wound up a co-worker of mine and made hitting-on overtures at me. I never pursued it because I'm so noble and fidelitous and shit.

Would have been interesting to pull out the "I rescued your man from drowning" story.

On the contrary, I know that everyone on here has plenty that would surprise everyone. but that's why they're surprises. It's not like I know many of you that well and vice versa.

Officially one of the oddest things in this thread. I'd agree that background info would be welcomed here.

I had my own radio show in college, which is unusual because I'm very shy in public situations and it doesn't get more public than radio.

I can't think of anything. This has been an interesting read though...

I've never been shot.
I've never met anyone famous.
I've never had a brick go through my window.
I've never recorded my own album.

(shrugs)

YES! send him over here!

everyone around me busted up laughing in shock at atypical display of perversion.

Note to self: must get a job as a lineman for northern Ohio telephone service.

Further, once in position, assigned to Jen's office.

... As it goes: most would be surprised to know I was invited to Bill Clinton's first inaugural (I was thirteen). I did not find an opportunity to seduce Hillary, though.
