So many of these games the Mavs are pulling out down the stretch with guts, poise and heart. This Mavs team is so much different than 2006. They have so much more resolve and mental toughness.

I just hope they have enough resolve & mental toughness to take out the Heat!!!

P.S. - Yes, I'm conceding that the Bulls will not come back from down 3-1...

i thought that big Blazers come back in game 4 might force them to fold, but they came back even stronger.

yeah, they would have pulled an el foldo before, but somehow that managed to galvanize them this time

bulls will win tonight, because they really have no choice.

then game 6 will be a game where bulls go up 12 in the first, heat creep back, half ends w/ the bulls up by 2, bulls lead by like 2 or 3 into 3min left in the 4th, lebron goes crazy, rose has his 8th turnover/korver has his 9th missed 3 of the game (whichever comes first), boozer gets faked out by mike miller, boozer screams, and then heat pull ahead and win by 8. noah parades out calling everyone including his own team fucking faggots.

i dont feel optimistic.

I'd tune into that game!

From my limited perspective on these playoffs (haven't really watched a ton of games until this round): the Bulls and Thunder both obviously have the talent, but I think their relative youth and lack of experience in big games is making them buckle under pressure and keeping them from closing out these games. If these same teams make it back to their respective conference finals next year it will be a completely different story since they will have already been there.

the bulls' fatal flaw is that even though they are a spectacular defensive team, they are a one-man show on offense

It's pretty common though in the NBA that most teams that eventually win Championships do the crawl, walk, run evolution in the playoffs. The Thunder and Bulls are both looking like pretty solid walkers right now.

Sadly, the Hawks have followed the crawl, walk, walk, walk model.

But it really is amazing that in the NBA where there is all the talent in the world, dudes don't win until they LEARN to win.

I mean, on paper and physical ability, the Thunder should be able to run circles around old Dirk, Jason Terry, and old ass Jason Kidd but here we are. I mean, it took Jordan, what 6-7 years to win his first title?

Owner and GM in the NBA have to be the most maddening jobs in pro sports.
