I'd be the same way after seeing him last friday, but I can't stop listening to "My Little Hoodrat Friend" by the Hold Steady and Ted Leo's version of "Since You've Been Gone"...

Plus, I have to catch up on my Bossage before I see him on Tues. night...

I'm picking this up on Tuesday morning and I'm heading right out of town on my massive road trip. Does it sound like good highway music?

To me it does. But I love to drive to more alt-country music a la The Jayhawks, Whiskeytown, Golden Smog etc. So there's that.

I'm in complete agreement. That's the best kind of music for long road trips. If 'Let it Ride' is any indication, this will be the perfect road trip CD.

Is anyone else having a problem listen through Ryan Adams' website? It must be slammed right now or something.

It also sounds like its good beer drinking music to my ears. So good call on that.

Yeah, with the weather we are having down here, and the fact that I just fucking obliterated my goal for this quarter, it is time for loud music, cold beer, and good food. If I wasn't still on this belt tightening quest with money, I'd hit Jazzfest.

I was just thinking the same thing. It's kinda nice for a change.

Enter smart-ass comment below.

And I agree, this would be a GREAT drinking album. Maybe it's just cause I've been thinking about that first beer ALL DAY!

Meh. Ryan Adams is the Billy Joel of the '00s. I'm sure many will take that as a compliment. "Let It Ride" sounds like it'll be a big hit on New Country radio.

I used to be a big fan of Ryan Adams (circa Heartbreaker), but I just can't stomach the guy after all the bullshit he unleashed on his fans in the form of obnoxious live shows and underwhelming records. Even my enjoyment of Whiskeytown has been tainted. I'll probably be throwing Heartbreaker and Pneumonia up on eBay soon.
