I think I was 16 or 17 when I begged my parents to get me the pump up shoes from reebok for my birth day. They were running like $80.00 (maybe more) at the time and wanted them real bad.

I remember the day they got them for me. I was so..um, pumped about them (yeah..i went there). I put them on and ran outside to shoot some FUCIKN' HOOPS, YO! I started to pump them up and was ready to become the next Charles Barkley. Minutes later, I remember being very pissed that I actually wanted thoes ugly ass shoes that did absolutley NOTHING after pumping them. I think I wore them 5 times and never heard the end of it from my parents. I think my father still to this day wears them..to cut the grass.

I never asked or bought another pair of B Ball shoes again.

Not me... I have friends at Nike, so I can get shoes for half off.
Otherwise, hello, Nordstrom Rack!

Sweeet. I always try to wait for sales...once I bought 3 pairs of the same type of Nikes cuz I liked 'em & they were on sale for $30 a pair. I was good on sneakers for like 3-4 years.

Seriously? Can you have your friends find me a pair of Nike Air Angus? They are from the Nike Skateboard line and are MIKE JONES!!!!

Hopefully I score some of these when I hit Classic Soles in ATL tomorrow.

Nah...she's just a girl...

I've owned a pair of Green chucks since I was in Jr. high school...as for everyday now, I rotate between some Saucony Trainers, these blue and grey Diesels, and some black all-leather Roo's.

I've been seeing ads for the new "RBK" pumps. I guess "Reebok" just isn't cool with kids these days.

Vowels are sooo last year.

I wear a pair of mint-green Sauconys to work, those are the only sneakers I have. I got them for $30. I usually don't have to spend too much, cause I can find them on sale since no one wears my size. (I wear size 5) I usually can find a decent selection online.

I had the red and black Sky Jordans in '87. Last pair of basketball shoes I've owned; Since then its Converse, Docs, Birks, Vasque hikers, cowboy boots and at least 15 pairs of Vans because for my feet, Vans are the perfect shoe.

And 11D cowboy boots if someone wants to get me a new pair.

I'm glad someone posted about the Converse hightops. I love them things.

I found a store a couple years back that was closing out a color and they had my size (12.5 and/or 13) for $5 a pair. To this day, I can't buy a pair for full pop- just don't have it in me.

I wonder if you can get them online cheap?

Word up; I bought these at a going out of business sale as well:

They are ok; I gots no complaints even though it has been many a moon since I've owned Converse and these are actually low tops (HST style)

Jordan was 3 years old when I was born. Don't need the man's shoes.

Coulda bought a second hand car for 170 bucks when I was a kid. Certainly didn't have it to spend on shoes.

Yail, I am awed at the size of the "bird" on your desk. That might be the most egregious desk ornament I've ever seen.
