Went to junior prom with my girlfriend who was apparently an evangelical christian because she wouldn't let me put my hand anywhere on her body. It was boring and I was dumped about a week later.

Went to senior prom with a girl I didn't like because I couldn't get a freakin' date with anyone I did like. It sucked. I had to carry tampons around for her all night. I obviously didn't get any.

My highschool sucked big time. 154 graduating class and 85% didn't go on to college. Most were 'redneck's who weren't skerred.' Went back to my five year renunion about 2 years ago and no one has left town.

I went with a good friend of mine and had fun, though nothing to write home about.

Per usual, we were all ready to get into the limo, parents snapping pics all around, and my date is not there. Late for some reason.

As we are getting out of the limo, she grabs the coat handle on above the door, and as she steps out, it gives way and not only breaks off, but she lands on the asphalt in front of the crowd out front. Totally sober, mind you.

There was not any relationship awkwardness or tension or anything, so me and my friends would swap dates back and forth and we just roamed as a big gang.

My best friend (and current roommate) and I rocked top hats, tails, gloves and canes, which were quite the hit. We had a band and a DJ, and the band [CRUSHING DAY ROXXX] sucked so bad we actually shouted them off the stage, then spent the next ten minutes trying to bribe the DJ to play Eazy-E.

It was fun, and there were a few funny moments, but all in all it was pretty low-key. Senior week, however, was much more fun.

Broadneck High School.

I'm not sure how familiar you are with Annapolis, but it's just across the Severn River from Annapolis or just before the Bay Bridge on the western shore, if you prefer.

Or...

If you are on 50 going to Ocean City, it's a stone's throw from the McDonalds, Wendy's, Anglers, Ski Haus, and formerly a Roy Rogers you pass before getting to Sandy Point.

Went my sophomore year with a junior who was the foreign exchange student from Spain. It was ok, but sort of weird; he was really shy and almost too polite. Since there were mostly juniors and seniors there, I didn't really know too many other people. Went junior year with no date, just a group of friends. Of course, that group ended up being 5 girls, 4 guys, and 6 of them were 'couples'. The remaining guy and the other 'single' girl sat at the table all night and were no fun, and I ended up being the odd one out. So I danced on the fast songs (no partner required) and explored the hotel on the slow ones. It blew. Didn't go my senior year because I was a nerd and had an orchestra concert in Symphony Hall the same afternoon. Though I was home by 6pm, the group I had planned on riding with (they rented a limo) decided they had to go to dinner at 5:30, and wouldn't wait for me. Even though the dance didn't even start until 8. And no drinking at all- they had breathalizers at the door.

I went to one Jr Prom and 2 Senior Proms. There was no action except for the '82 mustang (i.e. slightly glorified escort) that I thought was the shiznit and they wouldn't play any NIN but plenty of Cotton Eyed Joe.

I figured one of the two would do it. I now live less than a mile from Tate (fromerly Genderson) Chevrolet, the dealership up on the hill just before those landmarks.

Ha. Yep. From my roommate's drunken trips over there on summer weekends, there is a solid contigent of our bottom feeder friends from HS that keep it in business.

we didn't have junior proms.

went to senior prom with one of my best friends. she was hot, but a very inexperienced virgin...hadn't even kissed a guy. before we left, her dad took me aside and pretty much threatened me if i laid a hand on her. so i got no action.

BUT, i ended up hooking up with her freshman year of college, so take that dad!

With all these glorious war stories, I wish I had

1) Gloriously enjoyed my Senoir Prom after partaken in all of one (1) other dance in High School, and,

2) Taken advantage of my (what I thought) on-the-rebound date, who has 2 kids right now at the age of 25..

I was so smart/stupid in High School - One day I'll figure out which I was....

I’m going to make this story short, I hope, for once.

Went to three as well, one junior and two senior proms with my girlfriend being a year behind. That relationship lasted for five years and started when I was a junior myself.

We were going to go all out with the hotel room but my parents decided to go to Vegas and take my brothers along with them. Her prom was a disaster from the very beginning, as we were late because of dinner. I worked as a box boy at a liquor store and stolen alcohol so we were set. I was put in a bad mood with all the different problems we kept having this night. We finally get there, take pictures, and I wanted to leave right after that. It was her prom so my friends were not around and I didn’t dance at this stage of my life (ecstasy and the Happy Mondays were right around the corner). So I just wanted to go home, get drunk, and peal that dress off of her. So we leave after about an hour, a source for fights on many future occasions, and finally the evening is turning around. We are getting into it and working on the clothing when I say I Love You than the wrong name. I happened to use my best friends name, which was a girl, instead of her name. Well needless to say the evening went from bad to one of the worst in my life. No sex was the least of my problems but didn’t matter as we had it just about everyday anyways. I calmed her down after hours and hours of bullshit. Fortunately that was the only time I ever made that mistake and always followed I Love You with her name.

Oh memories!

FT's Junior Prom: Set-up on a date with the school mascot. Double-dated with a cheerleader and her boyfriend, who drove the four of us all the way to far north Austin (about 40+ miles from our Prom) for dinner. They drank a lot in the car, and it took us forever to finally get to the restaurant. By the time we made it back to the Prom, things were winding down and the photographer was even closing shop for the night. I think there ended up being three more songs played before the Prom was done. Undeterred by the fact that I didn't get so much as a peck on the cheek from the mascot, I ended up taking her to see the first Police Academy the following week, where she bailed on me in the midst of some undeniably hilarious Mahoney-Hightower-Tackleberry hijinks, because she saw another guy in the theater she liked better.

FT's Senior Prom: Didn't go, largely due to my Junior Prom sob story.

(senior year) i went two proms - mine and my ballroom dance partner's. mine was first and the pre-prom afternoon still ranks as a favorite story for many of my friends. now, way back in january of that year, lego had announced star wars legos and i'd ordered them immediately. unfortunately, they were back-ordered until july, but mine came on the afternoon of the prom. of course, i spent the whole afternoon building x-wings and tie fighters. my stepmother walked into the living room and shockingly asked, "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" i looked down at the piles of legos surrounding me and said, "building." she alerted me of the time and told me that my date would be arriving in less than an hour.

i ran downtown and picked up the corsage and flowers, then came home and took a shower. my date arrived with her parents (they lived an hour away) while i was in the midst of dressing. i answered the door half-dressed and explained that i was running late because i'd been playing with legos all afternoon. she laughed and her parents looked confused. i got them drinks and they sat in the living room while i finished dressing. then i put the finishing touches on the x-wing and showed it off. i don't remember much about the actual prom. the after-party in some kid's barn was, um, a barnburner. and then my date and i went to my house. the next morning, i walked out in the kitchen and my date was having breakfast with my stepmother. it was then that i realized i'd left my fleet of lego ships in the bathtub. i apologized to her for the mess and she smiled a little uncomfortably. seriously, though, wouldn't you have played with the legos?

Winner. Hands down. Are you sure your name isn't Napoleon Dynamite?

Yeah, for some reason girls get a bug up their ass when you screw up their name.

I had sex with the prom queen and then she threw up in my eye.

My face was covered in meal/puke that costed me $45.00 for her alone and The Smashing Pumpkins 'Today' was playing in the background.

I put her to bed (inside my trunk) and danced the night away with my buds.

Awesome.
