I did google you over achiever. I wasn't looking for album covers and I had to run in a hurry to pick up my family at the airport. I should have said [obscure enough to not find a pic instantly] Thanks for the help.

So there you go everybody, all the pics you need.

Wow, thanks. My parents will be proud that someone finally bestowed that title upon me. Seriously. I'm going to point them to this thread

They'd appreciate those online efforts. Seriously, I googled while the file was uploading to mediafire and the result never even showed the myspace page or anything like that. I was getting weird stuff, books on vulgar language or some shit, so I guess my Mac bandwidth can only do so much while uploading a file over the internet.

Thanks for stepping up and pwning me.

Awesome, shiv! Post of the Year!

Yeah! WOO! You totally shamed this thread.

i don't get me wrong, i'm glad for all these uploads, but some of y'all need to stop talking about it like you're breaking the law and not sitting around in your slippers drinking merlot and smoking virginia slims.

This set of posts cracked me up.

There hasn't been much backslapping or hyperbole in my posts, nor am I wearing slippers or smoking....but we are kind of breaking the law, actually.

Anyone have a decent mp3 of Proclaimers "Everybody's A Victim?"

Was putting together a Proclaimers mix last night and there's several glitches in my copy of the tune.

If not, I'll dig around and find it somewhere.

Iggy

Probably unnecessary, though requested. This one could've gone a hundred different ways, but I finally settled on just throwing on the stuff I like best, which includes the admittedly overplayed "Lust for Life". Mostly it's from the albums New Values, Kill City, Party, Soldier, and Lust for Life - nothing from his later albums (although I kind of like Brick by Brick). Oh, and "African Man" is included almost exclusively for LooGAR.

1. Lust for Life
2. Sweet Sixteen
3. New Values
4. Billy is a Runaway
5. African Man

7. Lucky Monkeys

I was thinking of doing an Iggy one as well, although I would have had a few more cuts from American Caesar. I still might do that actually.

And also thanks for the Sexsmith tenner. I only have his debut album and was gonna request this.

Judging from just their handfuls of hits and the best-of The Proclaimers seem the ever-sweet Everly Brothers-with-a-burr.
But I wanted to show they're crankier than that.
Also, the acoustic version of "Letter From America" is so much better than the pop version, imo.

Glad you put this up. I was getting ready to do one.
The only things I would've done differently : more 'Special 20' and arguably his best song, Watching The Lighting.
