it was really weird. felt all jacked up (like a bump) after 5 swigs, then blurry buzzed with a weird head rush after the entire can. i guess if i was going out for the night this could be a good starting point, but chilling at home, not so good. now i'm sitting here picking apart the Friday the 13th series.

I drank Sparks once and it tasted like a bunch of crushed-up smarties in malt liquor. This sounds like they just concentrated that shit.

I had a roommate once who drank a lot of Sparks. He had bad taste in almost everything.

and how did that go? Jason Takes Manhattan and Jason X are laughably awful.

Jason X was goofy but decent. Jason Takes Toronto is the absolute worst though.

This is a good beer. Also good are the beers that were commemorating Frank Zappa, made by Lagunitas and celebrating 40 years of his album releases. They're done now, but Kill Ugly Radio was a really good IPA and Ruben and the Jets Imperial Stout was yummy too. Too bad the widow Zappa pulled the plug on those.

I loved Jason X.

He Brew - The Rejewvenator

I mean come on, with a name like that, how can I not try it? And it was good. Not amazing or excellent but good. It reports being half belgian dubbel and half german doppelbock. The result is a sweeter, maltier, less dry belgian. Or maybe a doppelbock finished with champaign yeast...? Either way it's pleasant, different, and packs a punch without being overkill.

I've seen that at my local Whole Foods and have not tried it. Just seems like a joke (which, of course, at least the name is).
Now I think that I may actually try it. Thanks for the report.

It was a well-made beer, Todd, definitely not a watered-down pun delivery vehicle.

That brewery (Coney Island) makes some pretty good beers. I should get another bottle of the Freaktoberfest.

it was decent. the spices weren't overwhelming. i like their back in black more but i would probably buy this again.

i had this earlier in the week and it was pretty much the same thing as above but tastier.



i was drinking this last night. it was pretty good but kind of sweet taste to it, which wasn't horrible.



and i had a victory prima pils, which was just ok but for $3.50 for a 22oz i'm not gonna complain that much.
