I've never listened to Avril but I've heard the song is identical to her stuff. I also heard that on the album she works with some of Evanescence's collaborators.

I doubt there's someone pointing a gun to their heads, but obviously there is a lot of pressure from the labels for these girls to have a certain look. I've never seen what Kelly looked liked before, or after, but it's a sad fact she'll sell more records if she fits a certain mold.
